A prepaid SIM card for +Movil, one of Panama’s mobile networks. The argument for one is cost: international roaming on a home carrier can run to several dollars a megabyte, while a local prepaid SIM plus a top-up costs a fraction of that for calls home, WhatsApp, maps and ride-hailing ashore. Two things to check before ordering. The handset must be carrier-unlocked to accept another network’s SIM, and the card ships with no credit, so a separate top-up is needed before it will do anything. Works on Panamanian networks only.
