A 200ml bottle of San Pellegrino tonic water: sparkling mineral water with a quinine bitterness, made for mixing. The single-serve size is the practical advantage over a large bottle, since tonic goes flat quickly once opened and a small bottle means every drink is made with fresh carbonation. Pairs with gin, vodka and white rum, and works on its own as a dry, bitter alternative to sweet sodas. Serve well chilled over ice with citrus.
