The mint green finish of the Instax Mini 12. Automatic exposure removes the guesswork from instant photography, a twist of the lens barrel engages close-up mode with a selfie mirror, and prints develop in the hand within minutes. Instax Mini film is sold separately and is the recurring cost, at roughly a dollar a shot. Powered by AA batteries rather than a rechargeable pack, which suits travel where charging is uncertain.
