Epson’s EcoTank system replaces cartridges with large refillable reservoirs, and a full set of ink bottles is rated for thousands of pages rather than hundreds. That makes running costs dramatically lower than any cartridge printer, at the cost of a higher purchase price. The L3250 prints, scans and copies with Wi-Fi and mobile printing. It is the direct competitor to HP’s Smart Tank line and uses T544 ink bottles, sold separately. Best suited to households or small offices with steady printing volume.
