A two-pound bag of organic chia seeds. Chia absorbs many times its weight in liquid and forms a gel, which is why it is used to make puddings, thicken smoothies and act as an egg substitute in baking. Very high in fibre and omega-3 alpha-linolenic acid. Unlike flaxseed it does not need grinding to be digestible. Certified organic. Store sealed and dry; the seeds keep for a long time but absorb ambient moisture readily.
