A compact 20-inch monitor at 1600 x 900 resolution with a 75Hz refresh rate and HDMI input. This is the cheapest way to add a screen, and its most useful role is usually as a secondary display alongside a laptop or a larger main monitor, where you park email, chat or reference material. The smaller size and lower resolution make it less suitable as a sole working screen for detailed work. HDMI works with almost any laptop, desktop or mini PC without an adapter.
