A trail running shoe, which differs from a road shoe in three ways that matter off-road: a lugged outsole for grip on loose and wet ground, a reinforced upper to resist rocks and roots, and a rock plate underfoot. Nike’s ACG line is their outdoor range. Trail shoes feel stiff and noisy on pavement, so they are worth buying only if you actually run on trails. Available in sizes 5.5, 6, 6.5, 7, 7.5 and 8.
