Gold Standard Whey Isolate is filtered more extensively than standard whey concentrate, stripping out most of the remaining lactose, fat and carbohydrate to leave a higher protein percentage per gram. The practical reason to choose it is digestive comfort: people who get bloating, gas or stomach discomfort from ordinary whey usually tolerate isolate without trouble, because residual lactose is the common culprit. It also absorbs marginally faster. Same double rich chocolate flavour and mixing behaviour as the standard tub. Suitable for lactose-sensitive users, though not for diagnosed dairy allergy.
