Ron Abuelo Añejo is the flagship expression of Panama’s most recognised rum house, distilled by Varela Hermanos at Hacienda San Isidro in Pesé, Herrera province, from sugar cane grown on the estate. Fermented from cane honey, distilled in traditional columns and matured in ex-bourbon American white oak, it pours pale amber with vanilla, caramel, dried fruit and soft oak over a smooth, lightly spiced finish.
